From all at the Smith Institute, we hope this communication finds you and your families healthy and well.

The COVID-19 epidemic is dominating the news and we are closely monitoring official advice and the projected impacts for healthcare, economy and wider society. Whilst the situation changes swiftly and unprecedentedly, the welfare of our staff and customers remains our priority.

Continuing to offer value

The Smith Institute’s staff are working from home and in-line with official government advice. As the situation develops, we will update our internal actions accordingly to reduce exposure, with all staff being briefed via open communication channels.

As all the Institute’s staff work regularly from home, we are well set-up to operate in this way and will continue to deliver excellent solutions for our clients. Our core company values of integrity, clarity, motivation and creativity remain at the core of the organisation and our business model enables us to support our customers’ needs rapidly and with agility in this time of uncertainty.

We are supporting our staff who have dependents by offering flexible working arrangements and a Caring Allowance; an additional paid annual leave allowance across the company for staff that need to take time off to care for their dependents.

Get in touch

The full extent of the wider economic, social and environmental impacts of COVID-19 are yet unclear and we understand that business must continue as usual for our clients, perhaps more so now than ever.

We have contingency plans for all our current projects and robust systems of working to explore new ones; despite social distancing, the need to find solutions to address industry and government’s toughest challenges remains.

Get in touch

We are still enjoying regular catchups with our colleagues and clients, via video calls, and so please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of our team.
