Reporting to: Commercial Director

Description

Born from rocket science, the Smith Institute is a team of consultants who use advanced mathematics, analytics and AI to help customers do some pretty amazing things – like preparing the electricity grid to meet net zero targets, optimising satellites in the sky and making sure your favourite shop stocks enough cold drinks on a hot summer’s day.

We are growing and are looking for a Marketing Manager to help us understand our personas, build our inbound marketing, and expand our impact.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with our business development team, technical consultants, customers, and external providers to build a message and marketing program that sets the Smith Institute apart.

  • Content creation: Create content assets (guides, blogs, e-books, whitepapers, podcasts, video, webinars, etc.) to be used at all stages of the marketing process.
  • Website: Lead improvements to the website, working with existing and new suppliers to optimise the site for lead generation, recruitment and customer engagement.
  • Social Media and PR: Plan and execute effective social and PR activities to engage, inform, and build our brand.
  • Marketing Automation: Manage our Hubspot Marketing platform, ensuring leads are tracked and nurtured from MQL to SQL. Create engaging marketing campaigns and nurture sequences for our target personas and customers.
  • Events: Organise events, including our annual TakeAIM competition – handling promotions, organising logistics, managing suppliers, and creating or ordering marketing assets.
  • Storytelling: Help us improve our company storytelling to communicate the interest and impact of our work.
  • Monitor success: Use analytics to report on the success of our marketing efforts and make continuous improvements.
